BREAKFAST AT THE PENDENNIS
We offer a full à la carte breakfast menu in our modern dining room included in the price of all our rooms. Richard is a qualified chef and has worked in professional kitchens for 20 years. All of our breakfasts are cooked to order and there is a wide variety to choose from. Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am, and we can provide an earlier breakfast with prior arrangement.
Perfect location - just a 2 minute walk to the seafront, beautiful parks within 5 minutes and easy, on-road parking right in front of the accommodation. Never a problem finding a space. The rooms and dining area are stylish, bright and spotlessly clean, with lovely powerful showers and fresh white towels. As for the food…wow!! The quality and selection is fantastic. I highly recommend staying here if you’re vegetarian or vegan - none of the usual fobbing off with a banana! Richard, the chef and his lovely wife Sarah, went out of their way to make sure we had delicious, fresh food every morning. Thank you both for a wonderful stay and we’ll be back again soon. We would give you 6 stars if we could!"
Tracy DorsetRichard and Sarah were the loveliest of hosts. The hotel was really easy to reach, and Richard’s hospitality was second to none. He really was helpful and supportive when our plans changed last minute and was very accommodating. The breakfast was incredibly diverse and was delicious from start to finish. Sarah was lovely and dished up a heart warming meal. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and had everything you’d need for a short break. With a short walk to the beach, this bed and breakfast, with its great amenities, was ideal and am really looking forward to visiting again.
Faisal LondonStayed here for a long weekend in November. Sarah and Richard were friendly and attentive while allowing us our own space. The room was comfortable and cosy - good range of tea making facilities and fresh milk. Bathroom has some dark coloured towels for use with removing makeup which I thought was a great idea and wish more hotels did this. The breakfast room can be used for if you have a takeaway which is a good touch. Breakfast is fantastic, and probably the best thing about here. We recommend the pancakes. As for location you are two mins from the sea, five mins from local shops and about 20 mins from train station.
Alison FordingbridgeIf you're looking for a guest house that offers you a five star service then look no further. From the moment you arrive Richard and Sarah make you feel very welcome. We spent two nights and can’t fault our stay at their beautiful place. The rooms were big and spacious and spotlessly clean. There are good tea and coffee making facilities with a bottle of fresh milk daily for you to make your tea and coffee. There is also a good wifi connection from the room. There is a lovely dining room with a great breakfast selection on the menu. I had a traditional full English that was perfectly cooked with lovely fresh bacon, egg, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, hash Browns and sausage. There was also cereals, fresh juice and a selection of bread and spreads. My wife had eggs royal and said this was really good and very filling. If you have an early start or leaving early they do a takeaway breakfast. There is parking in the road outside and the town centre is a short walk away making this a great location. It’s clear from the rooms, breakfast and welcome that Richard and Sarah give that they both work hard in making sure their guests have the perfect stay. I thoroughly recommend this guest house and would be very happy to come back and stay here again. I believe if you book here you won’t be disappointed.
Mark West WickhamIf I could give it more than five stars, then I would! Me and my husband stayed here for three nights. Very excellent stay. The room was very big and very clean. I couldn’t fault anything. Location wise it was good with a 10-minute walk to town and the harbour. Breakfast was delicious. Me and my husband travel a lot and by far this has to be the best place we ever stayed at. Sarah and Richard are very kind and made our stay very welcoming. I wish the place was closer to us so that me and my husband could have a getaway like this more often without the kids. Will definitely go back and recommend friends. Thank you so much for our stay in Cornwall.
UniqueGem LondonJust got back from what one of us described as ‘the best UK holiday they have had’. The rooms were spotlessly clean, with all we needed. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, cooked by a chef in beautiful surroundings. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. The hotel is right in the centre of top ten Cornwall destinations and a few mins walk to the beach, lido and main centre. Easy drive to Minack Theatre, St Michael’s Mount and Praa Sands beaches. We booked three rooms for the extended family. A week of adventure and bonding. Very relaxed. Fridge in every room a bonus. Thank you so much.
Lisa LondonPerfect in every way, great location, clean, friendly, fresh, smart, lovely breakfasts, we had a lovely holiday and could not recommend enough. If you want to stay in Cornwall, look no further.
Chris MidlandsFantastic property, fantastic hosts. We throughly enjoyed our stay at Pendennis Guest House. Our room was spotless and had everything we could need, from smart tv, comfy bed, mini fridge, fresh milk, cork screw to wine glasses - at last hoteliers that appreciate you will have a glass of vino in your room and don’t want to drink it from the cups in the bathroom!! Breakfast was delicious and a vast choice on offer, an absolute gem of a place. 10/10.
Wendy WindsorSuperb! This is a super bed and breakfast - probably one of the best we've encountered. Nice people, extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast offerings are superb - nice portions, varied and tasty.
WareWe would have paid more to stay here. the attention to detail is outstanding: fresh milk in room, extension lead to allow charge of phone, wine glasses/bottle opener, relevant décor and prints. Exceptional breakfast including the veggie option, good welcoming frontage to guest house able to book breakfast in advance so it was served at a set time. Penzance is a very interesting place to stay a few days or use as a springboard to discover that part of Cornwall.
