The Pendennis
The House was built around 1860 and is an end of terrace 10 bedroomed Victorian house. It was built and occupied by the architect who
designed and built many houses in the Penzance area. It is larger than
other guest houses in the terrace and has a lovely warm feel.
The house was a home until the late 1940’s, when it was converted
into a Hotel/Guest House, the present owners Russell and Hazel Curtis
decided to reclassify the house as a Guest House in 2006.
Major redecoration and restorations to a high level have been
carried out since 2004 resulting in the Pendennis being awarded 4 stars by
the quality in tourism organisation in July 2006 and has been awarded 4 stars at the annual assesment in July 2007.
To the front is a patio area with seating, this area is planted with flower pots containing a mixture of tropical, annual and perennial plants, the Pendennis won an award for the last 2 years in the 2007 and 2006 Penzance, Britain in Bloom contest for the Guest House and Hotel category |
